How You Can Help

• We are currently seeking volunteers and docents
• Become a Member of the Davistown Museum (form to fax or mail or pay online)
• Become a Museum sponsor: Make an annual pledge
• Make a gift to our endowment fund
• Make a project-specific donation (See below)
• Purchase a museum publication

• Patronize the Liberty Tool Co. e-store
• www.libertytoolco.com (20% of sales benefit the Museum)
• Donate tools and antiques for the Museum collections
• Donate tools and antiques to be sold at the Liberty Tool Co. e-store or the three Jonesport Wood Company retail stores (all proceeds benefit the Museum)
• Patronize the retail stores in Hulls Cove, Searsport, and Liberty: Sales of books, magazines, and records under $10 are donated directly to the Museum
• Purchase art from the Museum’s Maine Artists Guild (20% to the Museum)
• Donate books on our "Books Wanted" list
• The Davistown Museum is currently seeking a donation of a hardness tester

What Programs You are Supporting

• Tools Teach: Online curricula for teachers, students, and homeschoolers utilizing the Museum’s Hand Tools in History publications
• Tools Teach: Tool Loan Program for schools
• Ongoing construction of a climate-controlled tool storage facility
• Art of the Edge Tool exhibition and catalogue publication
• Ongoing Museum operations and staffing
• Searsport History Information Visitors Center
• New and revised Museum publications including Hand Tools in History series
• Book cataloging for the Elliot Sayward Memorial Library
• Tool acquisition, analysis, interpretation, cataloging, and display
• Biomonitoring efforts of the Department of Environmental History
• Environmental chemicals in maternal cord blood, breast milk, and Gulf of Maine fisheries

All members receive Tooling Around newsletters and invitations to special events.
