Originally E.T. Lufkin in the Lufkin Board & Log Rule Mfg. Co. in Cleveland, this company's name was changed when bought out by four members of the Morley Bros. Co. in Saginaw.

General Information
 
Edward Lufkin owned the patent on a "Board Measure", April 7, 1874, which appeared in the 1890-1891 catalog. America’s largest manufacturer of measuring tools for logging and timber harvesting, Lufkin measuring tools are also commonly encountered in modern workshops and collections.
