Edward Lufkin owned the patent on a "Board Measure", April 7, 1874, which appeared in the 1890-1891 catalog. America’s largest manufacturer of measuring tools for logging and timber harvesting, Lufkin measuring tools are also commonly encountered in modern workshops and collections.
