Directory of American Toolmakers (1999) lists Miller's Falls Mfg. Co.'s working dates from 1868 - 72 (formerly the Levi J. Gunn and Charles H. Amidon Co.)  In 1872 they dropped the Mfg. to become Miller's Falls Co. (1872 - 1931).
This company was formerly the Levi J. Gunn and Charles H. Amidon Co.  In 1872 they dropped the Mfg. to become Miller’s Falls Co., which lasted from 1872 to 1931 (Nelson 1999). One of the most prolific of New England’s late 19th and 20th century toolmakers, their bit braces and hand drills are commonly encountered in workshops and collections (FFLTC).
